He does have a job. Be it to you to be the idiot assuming he doesn't have a job. He's trying to make enough frequent trips to train with the best MMAs out there in Big Bear, CA with Tito, Lister, etc...
Might not be so bad if you are living in California and make the drive to the training center. But flying from NY to California and back isn't cheap. Especially with sky-rocketing oil prices. It's not like he's flying out there once a year. Airfare, food and other necessities do not come cheap once you start racking up the on the frequent flying.
