The old deaf guards only represent the last 2% of the entire deaf society. They have brought scourge upon deaf people. Theyre not worth your time anymore. Theyre not worth occupying Gallaudet University space any more either. It's time to sweep the old deaf guards off the Gallaudet campus, off the face of the deaf society.

Excellent examples of the scourge from the old deaf guards can be found in one of Tom Bertling's published books.

Looking at this particular book, American Sign Language: Shattering the Myth, http://www.addall.com/detail/ 096...0963781359.html

You can see stories of scourge casted upon prominent deaf leaders and inspirational deaf people by the old deaf guards. Even some of the scourge took place on Gallaudet University.

Let's all pay good homage to deaf leaders who lives have been catastrophically altered after becoming victims of cyber-bullying, rumor attacks either via email, newsgroups, blogs, postings, websites, falsified restraining orders, vandalism, and through many other undue intimidating actions.

And let's work together at eliminating these sources of scourge within the deaf communities. And we can begin this at the Gallaudet University Campus. Lets sweep the old deaf guards off the campus this moment. See my video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q...h?v=qmR- iDa1yyQ and think about joining this war against indiscipline by the old deaf guards.

I'll be dealing with advertisers who buy ad spaces on the old deaf guard websites. They dont really support just the websites. They really support the terrorism and scourge the old deaf guards have brought upon many people. Time to nip this old deaf guard problem and the scourge they bring on people today!

Finally I wish Jane all the best, as she begins her journey as the the main compass of the university, that she has the strength and courage to bounce off the storms of flak and scourge coming from the old deaf guards and the dissent.

Do you think they can even all agree on who the new president should be, let alone how to make the finances of your plan work?

If they truly want "Unity for Gallaudet", let them unanimously declare in one voice who the new president should be.

Dis Assembly, like I said at the end, it could get contentitious. And this not one time thing. If you're thinking of planning this, it's gonna take awhile. Meanwhile, JKF has been selected.

It's the protesters that's not adhering to the concept of "unity of Gallaudet"

Just because a woman named Jane has been elected to be the future president(need I remind, her position is, STILL, last time I checked, Designate) by the Board of Trustees (of whom I know none thereof, I'm sure half of them are just like Jane, or more! I'm trying to be nice here...)does not mean we must follow what the Board says. Indeed, this is America, Democracy is what makes us americans. Although I cannot say I was there, I do many condonely wish I could be there to join my fellow deaftians in this historic movement that stands to make us americans. ALthough we all know, we throughout the ages of time, humankind has never been kind, as again with the romans and the greeks have always shown us, we currently live in a generation that has gone through transformations for a better nation. Of course, the struggle is never over, as with each generation has its own perils and navigating 'the perfect storm', in the end we manage to find some prosperity in each action that has been taken. This generation has become the deaftians as I've come to know, from all sorts of ages, we all share one common binder, and that is being hearing-impaired (I use this word to clarify the definition of DEAF, in case there are some who still do not understand the definition) Now, in this age and time we have a peaceful protest, that has become some of the saddest moments in life, as well some of the happiest, when the bison was slayed (of all days, friday the 13th) in this very October of 2006. Let this day rest in fame, forever has it become a new world, a world where we fellow deaftians have finally opened the eyes of the world, even if it was just for a second, a split second is all that's needed to unviel the true beast. I am not a student at Gallaudet, and up to that day, friday the 13th, 2006 I have never once enjoyed the atmosphere @gallaudet, even though I am Deaf, come from a Deaf family, AND grew up, ironically, less than 30 miles from the school, I've seen transformations come and go, with the same old picture. When I moved, I thought I wouldn't miss out on anything... Boy was I in for a surprise. I never thought I'd see the day people actually stood up for what was justifably morally right, and to have it smirked off the eyes of the beholder? That would be the hapiest moment, for that, finally, the face has finally been lifted! I am proud that we have an insitution, as we've had for the past 140 years, that was solely dedicated to the deaf. This was, and always will be, our hallowed ground in the GOOD old United states of America, home of the brave, home of the proud, AND HOME OF THE FREE. Thank you, for changing my eyes to who we truly are. I've always known, but I forgot throughout time. I now can say with such pride, I look forward to being a student at Gallaudet, whether it be an undergraduate, or a graduate only time will tell. Thank you fellow deaftians, for standing up. This is a day we all will never forget, the day the d

And may I remind you Anonymous that Dr. Jane K. Fernandes refused to resign. Also, the BoT *cannot* ask her to step down. And that Jane Fernandes is even more committed in addressing many of the issues brought up since this May.

You wouldn't need to replace the entire operating budget for the school in order to convert it to a private University; you'd just need to replace the portion of revnue that comes from the government. According to the figures on p. 9, that's $110,000,000/year, including both the money directly appropriated by Congress and money from government grants and contracts. There's no reason why the hypothetical new private donors would have to replace the money that already comes in from student tuition, existing donations, investment income, book sales, etc. etc. etc. Still a lot of money, of course, but you can nudge the per-capita figures downward accordingly.
