Thanks (for Greg). Believe it or not there is a few products out there that'll do the job. You'll see more of that later on in my blog.
You see, technology really is the key to be independent. And, in this case, a successful NASCAR driver.
Pit Crew is the least of Greg's worries!

McConnell,
Thanks for the posting. I was wondering what ever happened to Gunderson.
Did he ever make it onto that TV show? Did it ever air? I know I voted for him at least 50 times...
I am also interested in the ubiduo....but sometimes I wonder if I really need one here at work where we have computers....however it was perfect for that party and autograph session....hmmm....
Keep us updated, McConnell...

That's fantastic. Congratulations to everyone who worked to make this possible! I'm not a NASCAR fan, but with this announcement, that could change. There is no doubt in my mind that Greg's success will have a significant impact on the Deaf community.
Thanks for the excellent coverage on this feat, Mike.

big congrats to Greg for his accomplishments! Greg is an old friend of mine from way back in 1986, and each time I have seen him since Gallaudet Graduation in 1992, I have encourage him to get back into racing. Greg stopped for many years due to the age of his young family and the responsibilities of raising his girls. During my most recent visit with Greg, in January, 2004, I stayed in his 'trophy room' and enjoyed browsing through his racing days keepstakes, and watching his old races on video tapes. At that time, Greg told me he would like to get back into racing once again, and was ready to do it if he could get a sponsor. I am so very glad he was able to do this, and I look forward to seeing him on the big screen, hoisting a bottle of spitzy after winning his first NASCAR race! You go, Greg, my brother! I'd love to be in your pit crew!

Hello all, this is Mike McConnell from my sister's house in VA where I am staying because of the vlog/blog conference. Shocked, eh?
JJ. No word from the Racin for a Living people. The problem is that their show has to be picked up by one of the network (ABC, CBS, NBC, ESPN, cable show, etc...) So, no takers so far. But this isn't a loss. This actually a blessing in disguise because it got Greg all revved up, the owner of sComm, Jason Curry the maker of UbiDuo, wouldn't have bought Greg the racing firesuit and helment with the UbiDuo logos on it, or the desire to go out and help Greg find somebody to pick him up which got Greg the NASCAR thing.
Incredible. Just unreal how these things have transpired that started with me with I introduced Jason Curry to Greg to one of his beta tester for the UbiDuo about 1 year and half ago.
Also, spread the word, Greg will be needing sponsors. You know, all those company logos you see on those driver's racing suits and car? That's what Greg will be asking for soon. So, if there are any other deaf owned companies, this may be a good idea but it won't come cheap when the time comes when Greg is finally racing on the NASCAR track after getting enough experience racing on aspalt in the ARCA/ASA racing series.
