This blog is way left of center...

Gravatar Great job with gorgeous subject matter!

It's only fitting that I should comment first, right?

Gravatar Jami, you are gorgeous!! And, kona...this was a great series. I have learned so much.

Gravatar I just want to say thank you for taking the time to understand a bit about those of us who identify as trans. When I came out to my family and friends a few years ago, I had to go about educating them about what it means to be transsexual. I always had a policy when I disclosed the big news of encouraging questions. I made it known that nothing would make me feel uneasy and that there was no stupid question.

I live this life and I'm still discovering new things about the trans community. I think the one thing that I can say without any shadow of a doubt is that we are all unique individuals who want nothing more than to live our lives in peace and with the dignity and respect that all of us deserve.

I often feel that the T is overlooked in GLBT and if truth be told, I have also felt that some who identify as GLB would rather not have the T anywhere near them. When I read the kind words by people like you I am filled with hope that we can all work to overcome the discrimination we all so frequently encounter.

Great Job,
Kelly

Gravatar Is this the end of the series? If so, thanks. If not, I'm looking forward to more.

Gravatar First, thanks Kelly for your comments. It was important for me to do this, despite my own ignorance at times. Learning is important. Understanding, even moreso.

And Miss Cellania, there's at least one more in the series although I haven't worked out all the details yet. However, this blog will continue to feature all aspects of the LGBT community in the future so there's always more ahead!

I appreciate all your comments and visits!

That is PRECISELY why I wanted to do this!

Gravatar I've really enjoyed reading this series! Thanks so much. This was a lovely, respectful interview; in particular, I appreciate how Jami steers those of us who are less knowledgeable about transgender issues to self-educate, rather than become some kind of mascot or teacher herself. Again, thanks to both of you!

Gravatar Jami's definitely a hotty!

And wow, this interview was a real eye-opener. I don't know any transgender people in my own circle of friends and more information is always appreciated. Thank you, konagod!

Just to say, though, the formatting was easy to follow and seemed to be in the same font the entire time, so don't worry about it, kona.

Gravatar Great article, and by the way, I loved loved LOVED Hedwig. I caught it one night late on cable, and now my sister and I can sign the entire movie.

Good stuff. Have a great weekend.

Gravatar Or we can sing it too. *hides glass of wine, blushes at typo*

Gravatar very well done kona, and mad props to jami. thank you both.

Gravatar **RPM**, I thought the idea of signing Hedwig was so cool. I immediately had a visual of two people signing the whole movie.

Gravatar Great interview kona.

Gravatar Thanks Stark!
