That assumes the ability to reason amongst the right-to-lifers. I've not yet seen any ability to use reason among that group of people.

I will never forget the photo I saw as a young teenager of a woman dying from a botched self-abortion. From then on I knew that women needed to have the right to protect themselves and their bodies from other people's beliefs. I am blessed that I never had to make a decision involving abortion, but I will confess it was just dumb luck. THIS, of all things, should NOT be a litmus test. I think that a careful review of the Constitution, as you say Wilf, will prove the non-abortion bill to be un-Constitutional. And, of course, the right to lifers will be sneaking off to get their procedures in private, like they always have.

I wonder if Stupak has ever had a one night stand or if he ever slept with a woman and never called her again? Did her ever consider woman to be notches on his belt? Does he know anyone who has had to take the father of her child to court to get child support? Until men stop having sex without considering the consequences, pregnancy and its management is the business of women. Besides,making abortion illegal will only send women to back alleys and to the coat hanger again.
