Gravatar Things are looking brighter? Oh, you bet - the light at the end of the tunnel is the oncoming train!

Gravatar Losing the job IS the least stressful part. When I went through that my stress levels decreased significantly. I had more money without the job than with it. Then again, I wasn't "laid off" from my last job, I was kicked out. But it was a blessing in disguise. Who wants to work for an agency that has the board of directors hiring family members who aren't even qualified to even do their jobs in the first place????

I recently ran into one of my former supervisors (one of the good ones) and she told me I should praise God not to be there anymore. She said it's more miserable there now than ever before and they're having to bring work home just to keep up. Yea, I can do without that. I feel bad for the ones who've been there for 20 years or more. If they're let loose and have to start over, they won't have any idea where to start. I've been laid off before (not fired, though) and I know how to work through it. It isn't easy, but being familiar with the process makes it more bearable.

Now I'll be second in command for another agency. No nepotism there. They hired me without knowing a thing about me, except my resume', which spoke for itself. Isn't that how it SHOULD be?????
