another example of the law of unintended consequences. republicans have yet to figure out that the result of deregulation is not more competition, but consolidation. unrestricted capitalists do the exact same constrictions and consolidations that the stalinists did. they would be perfectly happy with one plant, and one industry per facet. it keeps their precious marketplace free of messy innovations and easier to watch disintegrate.
