This may be a contentious stance; but, meth should be legal (as should heroin, crack cocaine and other hard drugs.) It may be true that there will be more users and addicts; but, we can pour a lot more resources into treatment and there will be fewer innocent victims of violence or this plague from meth labs.

I think of my daughters and what it might be like for them growing up in our society. If they decide to try hard drugs I would much, much, much rather it be from a legal store and in a society equipped to provide treatment instead of a jail cell.

It is and I agree with it. The War on (Illegal) Drugs cannot be won. We can only address this in an open society with open treatment options and honest discussions and let law enforcement focus on crimes of the non-consensual variety.
