Hooray for Ethan eating some popsicle. Reilly started eating them this year too. He loves them now.

Fun. Rodeo days. Just the very words make me want to make that 12+ hour drive back up to your state for a visit! Ethan likes my favorite kind!

Let's hear it for Western Family! If I had one near by I'd go right now and make a fuss while buying my grape popcycles! That is an awesome way to encourage customers! Love via grape stickiness!

Good for you and for him!
I can't help but comment on what you said about changing vocabulary because it's so true. To me the best example is idiots to mongoloid idiots to mongoloid to downs syndrome to trisomy 21. It's all the same thing and guess what? It's a bad thing so no matter what you call it it's going to have bad connotations but we have to change what we call it every twenty or thirty years anyway.

Hey Sis,
I am so glad he did so well. He is a wonderful little boy, and so handsome.
It must have been hard with 2 wheelchairs. You are specail to do as much as you do.
I am grateful for all that you do.
Have a fantastic day.

I always worry if I am not using the right words today. I think that what you say makes sense that changing the wording is only going to last so long. One of my parents know a lady from a cafe that they frequent who gives speeches about how she overcame Mental Retardation. There are many inspirational stories out there. We have a center named after a remarkable woman with mental retardation in my area called the Ollie Webb Center(or something close to that)
It is always good to be included. Another friend of mine who I know online showed a picture of her mentally retarded son on parade and taking part. She said it was nice for them to be in the parade as life often passes them by.
I'm happy for observant people who are quick to make sure everyone is included whether it is givng a popsycle or a hug.
