As they just said on SportsCenter: "He saw Willie McGinest ALL NIGHT LONG!"

All game long, I was anticipating this very post by Kristen. Seriously, if Peyton watched the game last night, he had to have been experiencing some serious flop-sweat every time that Willie bore down on Leftwich (or the other guy) like a Ferrari-built steam roller.

It's true. But I like poor Byron about 5000 times better than Peyton.

After the dismal showing by the Giants in the first round, I can see why "Daddy don't like Eli."

It's time to do some research. Did Archie Manning absolutely, flat-out, no-excuses embarrass himself in post-season games when he was a QB?
If he did, it's genetic, as we can all see how badly his progeny play in the big games.

According to the announcers yesterday, Archie never had a winning season and never made it to the playoffs.
Have just done some research online and that appears correct. In fact, some completely unsubstatiated site is telling me that the Saints never had a winning season with Papa Manning at the helm.

Oh yeah - and truthfully Byron should have been called for a facemask - but hey we'll forgive that oversite (he)

A. Manning played for NO Saints 1971-81(part of 82?)
Never an above 500 season between those years(one year was 8-8, but followed by 1-15:

So, in other words, this so-called "royal family" of NFL QBs have accomplished NOTHING meaningful. Oh it is a beautiful thing.

Ok, assuming that the Pats beat Denver, what are you rooting for, Pats-Indy @ Indy or Pats-Steelers @ the Razor?
I'm conflicted. On the one hand, I'm longing to see Willie "Silent But Violent" McGinest bearing down on Peyton and giggling gleefully as the sacks and interceptions begin to flow.
On the other hand, it'd be incredibly funny if the Steelers beat his ass but good, and as the game came to a close, one of the announcers said, "Well, all these years we thought that Peyton Manning's failures in the post-season were the result of him being owned by Bill Belichick, but it turns out that he's just a big ol' sissy choke-artist."
I just can't decide.

Jake Plummer should be added to that "family plan" before Sunday... that way they can all save money on the call.
Go Pats!

How can anyone not be feeling New England at this point in the playoffs, esp. with a Denver romp on the horizon and a Conference championship game against a tired Pittsburgh team?

Or a Colts team suddenly having to deal with injuries. Remember that chop block to take out Brady in the '01 AFC Title game?
"Daddy, they went and hurt me. You said that wouldn't happen to me. Maybe Eli; but not me." A pause, and a sniffle or two.
"Those Pittsburgh players is NOT gentlemen daddy!. They was laughing and they hurt Marvin too!" Another pause. "And now they say we gotta play those New England people again. We ALREADY beat them daddy. They's gonna hurt me again."
A long pause. "I want to come home now".
"Now son..."
And we leave them here to their pain. And fear. Hee hee.

Now, now, why all this Peyton fear? Didn't you see Eli on Sunday? Quoting page 2:
"On the Colts' second play from scrimmage, Steelers defensive lineman Kimo von Oelhoffen hits Peyton Manning flush across his left knee with a metal chair. The move backfires for Pittsburgh, however, as knocking Peyton Manning out of a playoff game is about the last thing an opponent should want to do."
Teehee.
