I'm predicting that you'll end up working for the Sox or the Bruins at some point. Someone in these organizations is going to start reading you and think, "Damn, she's right, you know."
Having said that, bloody hell, what the festering buggery fuck is going on? 6 to NOTHING?
Much renting of clothes and ululating...if I weren't actually bored with it at this point.

6-0? That's madness. Madness!
I hope that your B's and my Lions will get new management, Stat!

But let me be clear - not that hiring Ray Bourque as coach/GM is the answer - usually great players don't make good coaches because the game is often natural to great players - but at least that would be doing something besides shipping the best palyers out of town. Besides methinks that's the way Jeremy "Never pass up an opportunity to squeeze the last buck out of the loyal fans" Jacobs thinks - put a band-aid on the problem to get the seats filled. Who cares if they win as long as the coffers are full, right Jeremy?

All true, but I have a feeling that Bourque might actually make a better coach than someone like Gretzky. Something inherent in being a defenseman and having more of a feel for all aspects of the game, and perhaps, how to teach it. Sort of like how catchers tend to make the best baseball managers. And, like you said, at least people would be excited again.

Remember Ray is also our "Special Teams" coach/consultant now. Just seems like the team is cashing in their chips hoping that someone in the organization, O'Connell or Sullivan. I did my rant on my blog too. It's ridiculous.

Don't think Bourque hasn't coached his kids...he prolly knows a thing or two about how to teach/coach/mentor...

Dude, in unrelated news, that meter is reminding me of the Penn Life commercial with the old lady who is enjoying time out with her family while reflecting on the trasnitory nature of life.
I don't know which is more depressing: that commercial, or the Bruins.

I don't know, man. The way that lady is so sing-songy and happy about her mortal coil nearly having unwound while the kids plead for Grandma while she is pulled into the underworld, complete with Alex Trebec and his creepy lack of moustache...
But, yeah, the Bruins are pretty poor too.

The Bruins break my soul every night. Surely that's worse.

Yeah. I guess for now the old bitty can put another quarter in the meter. The Bruins seem to have all Canadian coin in their pockets, broke the meter, and all their souls are spilling onto the sidewalk, willy-nilly.

Is there a curse of the Bourque cause we traded him or not?

Are you kidding? That was the best thing that could have happened to him. He leaves, WITH OUR BLESSING, wins a Cup and comes back to Boston as a favored son. You'd be hard-pressed to find a Bruins fan who doesn't think that was the best move for him.
