Thought of something while being bored during the XL Superbowl...it was a challenge of the double-chinned coaches...Holmgren (vertical double) vs Cowher (horizontal double).
Also want to know...doesn't Burger King know that there commercials are seriously creepy?

I think I questioned my sobriety when the BK musical came on too. Such a 'what the hell?' moment.
There are other Olympic sports, y'know, besides hockey. I'm sure some of 'em will be on at reasonable times.
Let us now all curse the YES Network soundly for being the sole carrier of the Caribbean World Series. Fuckers.

yup Superbowl XL - definetely ho hum....... but I will say that all the calls went the Steelers way.
There is NO WAY that that was Offensive Pass Interference !!!!! I mean really now - it was just barely contact - much less a shove - what is with these referees in the post season - they have been abominable! (sp?)

I've got the give Pepsi's new campaign the "What the FUCK!??!" crown.
"Brown and Bubbly"?!?!
On what planet does that make me want to drink Pepsi?

Brown and Bubbly doesn't sound like anything I want anywhere near my mouth.

Yeah. I would have been grossed out by the "brown and bubbly" bit when I was ten. I just imagine someone tossing a can of seltzer water into a toilet after someone had explosive, just-returned-from-an-undeveloped-nation diarrhea, putting it in a can and asking P. Diddy to schill for it. And maybe that's gross, but that's what I imagined, right off the bat. Fuck you, Pepsi.

The really sad part about the Super Bowl advertising is how much money is spent producing it and running it! We could probably fully fund Medicaid, or buy a box seat at Fenway!

Turns out XL stands for Xtra Lame. Who knew?
For next year's Superbowl to be less intersting than this one, it'll have to be Texans v. Cardinals and the ads will all be local used car lots.

And, Adam, it'll have to take place in Nebraska. Or Delaware.
Hi, we're in Delaware.

So, what was worse--baseball postseason officiating or football postseason officiating? Some of the baseball stuff was downright horrible (cough... EDDINGS... cough!), but football gets extra points off because they actually had instant replay and STILL blew it, repeatedly. That said, I thought the only really horrible call from XL was Hasselback's illegal block that was actually a tackle--the others could sort of be argued either way, although certainly in the case of the holding and offensive pass interference calls, there have been more egregious offenses that were not flagged in the past.
