Those first 4 innings were uncomfortable. It seemed like Beckett would get everyone to two outs and then would give up a loud hit. All of sudden he settled down and we were in the 7th and had pitched a gem. Getting stronger as he went. If Mikie's pitching wasn't perfect, he does have the stare of doom in mid-season form. And, Pap, what more can be said?
9 innings of fastball baseball -- a thing of beauty.
As they've been saying on EEI, "Mr Foulke, please return the truck -- Mr Papelbon is in need of a ride!"
BTW, why does Millar now scare me?

I think that Beckett has rabies and he infected Curt. Someone should look into this. On the other hand, if he keeps pitching like he's possessed by Pazuzu, maybe we can just leave him alone and see what happens.

What a rad game. Beckett is a fiery mofo and goddamn - Papelbon is so fun to watch.
I like knowing that I was at Beckett's first game ever in a Sox uni *and* the single worst game Papi has ever played.

You're all gonna be drooling over the Pap sooner or later. Mark my words.
