Nice effective two game win for the Sox to open the "USA based" regular season.
But a comment on other goings-on - we often are critical of our GMs for what we feel are bad signings of free agents such as (potentially) JD Drew and Julio Lugo. But kudos to Theo and his crew for the NON-signing of Pedro (they must've known that he wouldn't hold up) and Johnny Damon (too many years, too much dough) a few years hence. Pedro going down again (4-6 weeks is the latest report) is a shame but, sadly, not a surprise. I doubt it will be his last visit to the DL.
