I was trying to explain the greatness of this clip to my husband last night and he could not wrap his mind around it. He kept thinking 'spread the peanut butter on both sides of the bread' was code for some genius defensive play.

This is not what I was expecting. I thought there would be peanut butter on both sides of a slice of bread (i.e. both inside and outside), not peanut butter on both slices of bread but just on the inside, because that is how any sane person (i.e. not my mother packing school lunches 25 years ago) constructs a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I wanted to see a sandwich with peanut butter on the outside.

The video link is gone, but I used to run a summer program for kids where we discussed technical writing. they had to write instructions for making PB+J sandwiches. The fun part was where I went up front and 'followed their directions'. That was also a messy demo.
