Or like when Bill Belichick always leaves the table during ordering time and makes Vrabel order his Rooty Tooty Fresh'n'Fruity.

I am so with you. Nothing short of a personal wake-up visit from Sean Casey and his portable cappuccino machine would have stirred me in time to watch the begining of this game.

Well I got to see a pretty good game...
Hey Hey I'm a Monkey! People say I monkey around!
It actually was kind of fun, the alarm going off, rolling over and turning on the Sox game without getting out of bed.

It was pretty fun to make the coffee and watch the baseball. But, it did play havoc with the morning routine. But, I'll do it again tomorrow, happily. REAL baseball. Ah, that's good stuff.

The part I had trouble with: seeing an ad for beer at 6:47 a.m.
That'll mess with you.

I listened on the radio, but it just sounds like noise with too many comercials for the first 45 minutes. I laughed at the Moons over My Hammy. I haven't been to Denny's in years, but can you imagine some big 300+ dude in a low voice ordering that very seriously. It just makes me laugh.

The roof of the Tokyo Dome looks exactly like the roof of the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in MN. But the building itself is way cooler looking (at least at street level). Indoor baseball is just wierd, but the Japanese fans seem to love the Tokyo Dome.
I for one am happy to see the Twins move out of their sterile Dome and into the sun in 2010.
"You Gotta Have Wa" is a prety good account of one American ballplayer's experiences playing in Japan. Recommended. And you don't have to wake up at 4:30 to read it.
Somebody get Basegirl a coffepot with a timer.

Watching the replay last night, my perseonal favorite was the Japanese camera crew constantly focusing on Dice K between every pitch. I thought Remy was going to have a stroke from laughing so hard about it.
