Beckett may miss a couple of starts but until I actually see the injury, I am willing to go with Tito, who seems positive that Josh will not pitch until it is healed, and he's not going to rush things.

Sorry, I am clueless regarding Tek and his bat. The Capt has been hitting up a storm lately, raising his average up above 270. Nicely above the Mendoza Line.

I was wondering where you had gone. I, of course, have been huddled under the covers since the finger incident. I refuse to utter the b-word. My brother asked me why a cut on a finger was such big news and I kindly explained that this man needs to get back out on the mound and stick it to all those "fans" who thought he was a bad pickup.

I did see the Tek thing - my husband, who is jealous of my love of manly men tried to convince me that he didn't actually break the bat over his leg, but yes, he did, because his thighs are all-powerful.
