Can Julio Lugo be charged with a blown save?

Also you know you've been watching too many Brewers games when you actually expect the blown save.

They certainly made it interesting last night... Lugo has been very frustrating, but Paps didn't have his A-game last night... he almost blew it himself with that 10 foot fastball that Tek caught with the last inch of leather on his glove...

The sleeping Tigers are awake... lets hope Beckett can lull tham back to sleep...

stupid fingers won't work today...

Gravatar 1 run game with Pap on the mound? No problem. 1 run game with Lugo at short? Problem.

UGH!

Sure Pap was a bit off (ok, a lot off) but had it not been for Lugo's TENTH ERROR (seriously - 10 of the teams 20 errors are his!!) the game would have been over before Placido had a chance to have a 5 for 6 night.

I agree with Amy - Lugo needs to be charged with the blown save.

Gravatar Yeah, but Pap did everything you could want in terms of bat meeting ball (except of course bat NOT meeting ball). Little squiggler, easy grounder, jammed hitter breaking bat. But if there were 3 screaming lines drives caught in the warning track he would have a save and people would call him stud this morning.

Gravatar Pap was not off last night. Not one ball left the infield except a broken bat hit that barely got over Lugo.

Gravatar "Wow, look at me spinning a loss into a positive. That’s impressive. Perhaps I should work for the Clinton campaign."

HA!

But if you were really a Clintonite, you'd just say the loss doesn't matter because it's a small game that doesn't count. You're saving it all for the big games.
