I am SO feeling ya on the daylight thing. It took me a halfhour of positioning lights and fiddling with the camera settings to get a decent photo of a FO yesterday... at 3pm. |
I'm going to give the gloves a go too. My Japanese is a bit rusty so I'm glad to hear you can work mainly from the charts. Look forward to seeing how you get on. |
The gloves look lovely. I knit the Phildar cardi and the ribbed bands go quickly. I'm sure you'll be able to make a huge dent in your list by the end of the year. |
I hate those dark months. I thought we had it bad here in the Pacific Northwest, but you've totally got us beat. |
that snow looks beautiful- just as I'm starting to enjoy the long evenings and warmer days we're having! |
So, I told you it was 20 degrees here last week. Well, now it's barely 2 degrees and snowing! I guess that's what I get for bragging. |
I love the Phildar cardi... very curious about how it works... is the ribbing separate and "under" the other part? I hope you'll give us the detailed account! |
Good luck getting through the dark months... its similar here getting dark by 4:30, but at least there is bright morning light. Also good luck finishing those projects! A clean project slate is the best |
That is an amazing picture of the first snow. I want it to snow here. Probably won't be awhile though! |
There's nothing like a bit of Japanese pattern translating to get the juices flowing. I love how these online search engines have a bash and get it all completely wrong, sometimes it's hilarious! It looks very cold where you are, I hope the pattern knits up quickly! |
Nice to know that you are safe. I have never considered Norway as a dangerous place to live. |
I have the sanquhar gloves printed out from that site, but the herribone just comes up as question marks. Darn. I suppose I shoudl count myself as lucky. Like I need another two colour project on the needles. Have fun. |
you can soo do it. Get that tank done, maybe you'll get some sunshine and warmth for a bit. |
Hey you're knitting it too! Glad to have some company. Forget the translations, just work from the charts. All you need basically is that hand chart where they tell you how much rows to work on and from which pattern stitch. That rowanspun sure looks lovely! |
