yup I am now going to have to find the yarn to copy you on this pattern too. How the hell am I to keep up with all this sock knitting!

I recently bought the book "Sensational Knitted Socks" but have yet to even start row of a sock. Seeing your pretty socks may inspire me.

I am sorry, did I miss something? You knit socks like that and then you ask if other people have super powers?? I am in awe.

Maman just brought me all of the most recent Phildar magazine and I have been pouring over them. I am squarely blaming you for this, you are a bad bad influence! A.x

Fabulous socks. I can imagine it must have been frustrating ripping back over and over but they turned out great! Love the blue Phildar wrap 'thing' - if I was 10 years younger, sigh...

The socks are just gorgeous!

Ooooh, the Pomatomus are gorgeous! I'm kinda stuck on mine - I haven't picked them up in over a week.
You need to make one of those shawl/wrap/wing-things from Phildar next. Those are so pretty.

I just came over to see the lucky smartie that won Sundara's yarn, and I am so glad I did because I found a new fave blog! I love the cardi- nice finishing job, and the socks look awesome!

I am adding you to my blogroll so I can keep up with you!

TTFN,

Emms

The socks look great and I agree that the pooling is not a problem. Jacqueline will love them! You've sort of scared me away from that pattern though!

The sox are awesome. Worry not about the pooling, I think it looks kind of cool, and the neatness of the pattern on the leg (you know, the part people see) is so awesome, it doesn't matter.

Also, I guarantee you, that no matter how many versions of that I made, I'd still have to look at the chart. You are not alone.

Fabulous Pomatomous socks in a lovely colour - Jacqueline is very lucky that you have made them for her. I am part way through my first Pom and I definitely get confused on the first few rows after the yos and k2togs change ends. But I love how the k tbl rib comes out.

Also great job on the Phildar cardigan - it looks very good on you. Worth all the effort??!

I think your socks are "fab" and well worth the effort they took I started this pattern for my sockapaloooza pal and found it challenging enough that I would not have finished them by May 1. But I will try them for myself when I'm not knitting under a deadline - thanks to your inspiring socks!

Those socks are so lovely! This pattern has intrigued me for awhile, but I fear I would botch the lace! I can only hope that mine would work up as great as yours. Lucky Jacqueline!

Love the new Phildar. I looked at it last weekend - so many pretties in there!

The Pom-Socks are fab! I need to knit a pair when I get back to Munich! Do you think it'd work with self-striping yarn?

ok peoples..........hands off! the socks are coming to melbourne to be worn by me me me!!

love em love em LOVE them!!!

they are beautiful .. I must get mine done too. btw, I rather like the pooling on the feet, so if Jacs don't like them, I volunteer to adopt them

OMG, this is my first introduction to Phildar.....sooo love it. How can I get these patterns...and translate them???? Silly foreign languages, must learn more!

Hm. So how 'bout I make you poms and you make me the Phildar?
The things are loverly, though, aren't they?

gorgeous socks! I love the 'things' (shawls/stoles/wraps) very pretty.

I want these so bad now! But I'm sure Ill be cursing you once I start them. They look great though!

You don't want one of those Phildar things, say it with me....

I have to say: congrats. That's two absolutely beautiful FOs!! So close together! Doesn't it feel wonderful?

Seriously, congrats on both the cardi and the socks. The socks are a real achievement, I've been having the worst time with the pattern, too.

I started these socks and totally screwed them up. They are beautiful socks. But I don't have the patience for them yet. Those are some beautiful wraps too!

Jacqueline will have no trouble adopting those socks into her wardrobe family, I'm sure. They're lovely. What's a girl gotta do in order to deserve such a gorgeous giftie???

Those socks are just gah-geous. If Jacqueline makes even a sound...other than to cry with happiness once she gets them, let me know. I'll send my peeps to straighten her out and bring the socks to me.

Nah, she's gonna love them!

Love that black Phildar bolero or whatever it is. :D

Those socks look great! Jacqueline is lucky to have them!

Your pomatomi look great! I really should make a pair at some point ...

If Jac says one bad thing, you can be sure that they'll find a loving home in Wyoming! Actually, Jac is a smart cookie with fabulous taste, so I'm sure she'll love them Happy dreaming about those...things.

P-word socks!! I just spent my lunch hour frogging back 8 rows. It is easy but also easy to mess up. Yours are beautiful! Jacqueline will LOVE them!

jacqueline has a very lucky pair of feet your pomatomi (?) look fabulous; way to stick it through to the end!

I totally want to make these. They look wonderful! Thank you for the inspiration.

The first photo of your Pomatomus socks is what inspired to try this pattern. I agree with you, though -- I have to look at the chart, and this is not mindless knitting for me! The completed pair look great. I'm sure Jacqueline will love them.

Wow! Those 'things' are lovely. I'm going to have to start checking out the Philar book.
