It is rather scary how excited I am about waiting to see this jacket in all its glory. The colour and stitch are so beautiful and I find myself thinking about way too often! |
Some good button suggestons here - dyeing sounds about right - but if you want, you could contact the Button Emporium in Portland Oregon - ask them if they have leather buttons in different colors and send them a yarn sample ..... |
Can't wait to see the jacket! I do love the look of the woven leather buttons. I agree with the dark chocolate brown vote, or I've also seen them in charcoal grey, which would be lovely. |
I was thinking the same thing as Di, crochet or knit your own! Althought whatever you come up with will be stunning. |
Very cute hats!!! what about getting fabric buttons in a fabric to match the sweater? |
I love your little hats. I think with buttons you just have to take the garment with you and try them. I have nightmares with buttons, I have a huge, old tin of them and there are never enough in the type that looks good!! |

Cute hats! |

Maybe some silver buttons would be nice, perhaps with a pattern on them. I think the jacket is looking wonderful too. |
something dark chocolately would be nice. |
I'd use some sort of degreaser on those buttons and then dye them using leather dye if I could find the right colour, and ink if I couldn't. I'd probably have a go on the back of the button first, not being a particularly brave type. |

Cute hats, and I think the pompoms are perfect. They give them character. I am a visual person, so feel free to ignore my suggestions - they may suck. I'm thinking an antiqued silver or brass if you want something brighter. |
I think you need something flatter, no? I'd say metal, maybe. Or dark brown wood. |
I like the color, myself, but if you don't that's what matters. Maybe since they're leather you could dye them? You probably couldn't get an exact match since they're on the dark side already, but you could probably make them coordinate if you could find a creme dye or make one. |

the innocent hats are sooooo cute. |
