i had the exact same problem with a cardi of mine years ago and i fixed it with no frogging involved.
Oh, I think it is super stunning and don't see any of the problems that you pointed out. I would be ever so proud of myself if I could knit anything half as wonderful.

The color is magnificent. I'm sorry you're not 100% happy with the result. I feel ya. Although, from the photos alone, I wouldn't have noticed any of the imperfections!

It's beautiful!! This is one of my favorite yarn colors ever, though I've never made anything with it. I especially love your photo of the back. And I know you don't like the oversized sleeve caps, but they don't look huge to me, and they do add to the whole military feel (epaulets, etc).

It's fabulous!!! A beautiful color, and very elegant shape. The stitch pattern looks really cool and dressy. I think the sleeves look just fine and give you room to wear more underneath if you want 
Your tailored jacket is lovely. I find the colour you chose is elegant and fresh. I agree with you about the epaulettes, but the depth of the armhole is hardly noticeable unless your hands are on your hips.

Oh, I love that shade of dark turquoise (teal?). The epaulettes are darling and the buttoned cuffs add such visual interest!
