I am loving the socks, they are just gorgeous. Must add to knitlist.

And the plum. Well. Sigh. Envy. What more can I say? xx

I like this Santa! Your EL socks are lovely -- nice colours for a leafy pattern. And you're right about the single Xmas stocking, and it's very pretty.

What a happy Christmas! I love the stocking, and I can agree that it is all the sweeter since there is only one! My sister-in-law gave me a Stocking book for Christmas, so I think that is a hint that she wants one next year!

I LOVE the socks! They are gorgeous in that yarn. That heel is one of my faves too, such a nice touch, and no holes! I am sure that the socks looked great on you, but I am glad your mother can enjoy them

Beeeyoutiful socks!!

Such lovely socks! I really should try some koigu yarn sometimes soon.... where do you get your dose?
(I think that I've told you earlier - but that paisley shawl pattern looks just divine)

That heel is indeed gorgeous! Beautiful socks!

koigu is king of soft feet! I love that heel. its great!
good luck with you lace date

Merry Christmas! Love the stocking and the socks.

Hey! Those are my socks! Except for the heel; mine are short row. I really like yours, though.

The stocking is fabulous. I shall make one next year for suuuure.

Glad you had a great Christmas, so did I! :D

Oooo... those socks are lovely. I like the garter stitch heel, too. I first learned about it from the Sensational Knitted Socks book. I try and do it every time, but sometimes I forget until it's too late.

those socks are so pretty. Did you make any changes to the pattern? II thought 60 stitches a bit paltry but that might have something to do with my tension.. must relax more! happy christmas to you and yours. Well done on the stocking too. I thought about doing one, but that's about as far as it went.

Yahoooo for one stocking and yahooo for socks! I haven't knit any cables in a loooong time. Maybe your reason is the reason why.. hee hee.. Happy Holidays!

God jul! I do so agree with you on the cabling issue.

The socks are very pretty - I think giving it to your mom was nice of you, any other person and I'd say you're crazy. But mom's deserve good things.

I love that colorway of Koigu... Lucky for your mom. I can't wait to see more of the plum.

so pretty - the stocking came out great - cables and all! I am a recent Koigu convert. Love it!

Cables or not - it sure was worth it - the stokcing looks divine!! So do the embossed leaves, your legs must be really awful not to look good with these.... lucky mom though. Ooooooooo - how on earth did you get your hands on such a lovely plum?????!!

The stocking is pretty, and so are the socks.
