Curious on your take of these events:
1. Panama Canal is administered by a
Chineese Company.
a. PCanal is being widened to
accomadate, warships, super
tankers, cruise ships, etc.
2. Venzuela appears to want to sell
PDVSA owned refineries in USA,
other USA based companies are in
partnership with PDVSA in other
major refineries. One company just
announced that they are going to
sell one.
3. China needs lots and lots of oil,
PDVSA to supply China with enough
oil to supply a refinery to be
built which will consume 400K
barrels per day.
4. Mr Chavez has stated repeatedly
he does not want to sell oil to
the USA.

I have now returned to the good old US of A, it's good to be back although I did have a very good time.
cw, these are my thoughts without going into to much detail
1. I think this is of little concern, I'm not familiar with the details though.
2. Ultimately I think the loser will be Venezuela. Again this seems to be all political on Chavez's part. I think this will have little effect on the US.
3. yes, China and India do need a lot. There is very little anyone can do. Whether that oil comes from Venezuela or the middle east, etc.. it is still oil being consumed.
4. One thing is what he states the other is reality. He may not want to but he sort of has to at least for the short and medium term.
