Maybe for thousands of years, but not as political entities in present day Iraq...The only time they had a kuridsh state...it was in Iran for a copule of years if i'm not mistaken...The assyrians are even older race than you, but don't see them calling for their own state although they can legitimately say "we had our own political entity"..They accpet being Iraqi...So to keep it sweet and simple, shove off back to where you belong ...in Kermanshah dude....

I'm down wit the Kurds havin their own country, man. I want Kurdistan for sure. Like all the other bona fide 'stans'. when the soviet union went bust, all those other real life places took back their identities and declared themselves separate nations. you Kurds need to be organizing for when Iran goes democratic, so's you can take your piece of "Iran" back into your righteous boundaries. And Turkey--well I don't know what their problem is. it's not like they're gonna disappear off the map if the Kurdish part of turkey is redrawn and given back and the border moves. what are they gonna lose? they still have a whole lotta land that's still 'turkey'. it's not like anyone is gonna conquer them and take away their nation! y'know?
so i guess for the same reasons, i feel like Isreal deserves their own country, but they don't need all that space they've spread out and just 'taken'. they're gettin greedy with the borders. that's going too far, man. they need to check themselves! it's one thing to say you deserve a country of your own, but it's another to take over someone else's homeland totally and just rob them outright. that's what the white man did to the Red man. that's what the chinese 'done to Tibet. and that's what Israel is doing to the Palestinians.

why don't you Kurds go petition the UN like the Jews did, for a homeland? make a map of where you guys know your boundaries are, where your people know their edges are, and make a world presentation for it? go about it legally. approach the big guys. don't try to get what you want outta your 'brother' who's greedy about the room. he thinks its HIS room, and you just live in it. not so.
in faaaaact... here's a world-rocking thought--go to Israel and ask them if they would back you, and teach you how to get the UN to grant you your own nation in the world.

just don't make the same mistake they did. don't get insane with acquisition and try to take more land than they agree to demarcate for you! and don't violently evict everybody inside your boundaries. be gracious. ask for world cooperation in firmly helping the people to relocate from where the Kurds want to live [again]. no genocide. don't become like your oppressors. take the high road. if you want houses back, buildings, etc, build new ones for the displaced people to move into. write up contract agreements to do everything peacefully and fairly, and if the contract is broken, it is written in and understood at the time of signing, that breaking the contract will mean prosecution and eviction, and for non kurds, deportation out of Kurdistan.
