My youngest boy went to the range today, and came with his target to show me. His buddy bought some kind of a m-16 wanna be I have never heard of, and that is what they were shooting. Damn thing must be 18 pounds. Zero the scope took them a half box of .223. I have to go renew my CCL soon, and the challange is on.

As far as the gun, get plenty of rangetime with different ones to see which you like better.
Karen and I both like the revolvers better than the autoloaders.

I have a Heritage six shooter .22 that I like real well...inexpensive and will shoot shorts thru mags..but gotta change the cylinder for mags..

But my favorite is my S&W 22a-1 Auto-loader..also inexpensive..little over 200 bucks. It is built on a frame similar to the heavier loads but yet is still light enough to plick a couple of hundred rounds with without making my wrist hurt.
