I won't be buying a planer; we just had a new central air system installed yesterday. At least the old one died before the summer rush. The wife saved the day. Our power went off just as the workers were beginning to pump down the system. She called me at work for advice, and I had her go to the in-law's and bring the generator before the workers could load up to leave. Today I must decide working outside in 99.7 degrees, or staying in to test the AC. Going out requires motivation. Have the beef tips tonight- it's Friday!

Sounds like you have a case of the heebee jeebees. From long experience I can tell you it isn't just the water pump but the timer, transmission and motor. And that smell is the kitchen TV reaching terminal overheat.
The way to cure the HJ's is to have enough money that you don't give a damn if it all breaks.... Then, I assure you, everything will straighten up and purr like a kitty cat.
Let me know if you figure out that "have enough money" part,
That's where that PVC bender comes in.
I just need to decide if I want to make it of plastic, aluminum or both (for basic or professional grade).
Oh,,,and some kind of protection, since the general idea is probably prior knowledge.
