About 20 minutes ago, I tried putting in a call to Steve, something I had promised to do on Mark's blog this morning. "The Kentucky Democrat" apparently had his attention at the time. Good work, Daniel.
I only know Mr. Gold through our service on the State Central Committee but must admit we have never exchanged anything other than rhetorical greetings. I appreciate your interview with him and his words about the Party, past, present, and future. There is no doubt that he will play a role in it in the upcoming years.
We can all learn from each other, as all the people who call themselves Democrat have something to offer, something of themselves, their communities, and backgrounds. We are an open party under a big tent, and despite our varying differences of race, creeds, religions, genders, orientations, and other divisions, we are all real people with a real passion for our Party and each other.

Steve Gold is a 100% class act and his comments are right on the money. Democrats need to find candidates who are comfortable with faith and are unafraid to talk about their personal values and convictions.
Good work, Daniel.
