As much as I would have liked to have seen him in the blue and white next year, this is the best decision for him to go to the NBA Draft simply because he wouldn't have been eligible per the NCAA rules. He never went to class in the spring semester because he was too busy going to NBA tryout camps (this is understandable) to impress the scouts....which it doesn't totally look he did unfortunately.
Unlike Meeks, Patterson did so but after he knew he wouldn't be a high enough draft pick for his liking, he went back to Lexington to complete the spring semester and is in summer school. It is of no coinsedence that he has spent almost all of the last couple months in LexVegas to get his grades back up.
I wish Jodie the best too, though you're gonna miss the depth he provided.
