Nice web site.
Even as it now stands, that site is considerably more valuable (tax-wise) than it is currently delivering to the tax base.
Imagine what it could deliver if it were developed in the same vein as Pickering Wharf etc.

Love your website. So great to overcome all the objections to a future vision. Met a lady the other day who fought the building of the plant back in 1951. She is in her 80's. And now no one can imagine Salem without it? How did that happen? What a sad series of events to bring a good city down. Enough bad luck for Salem. When PG&E filed to close the plant back in 2003, two other plants filed to close at the same time. Both are now closed and only Salem remains open. They were newer than Salem's plant!! This is unfair. We have a right to breathe clean air. Definitely a lot of suffering has occurred due to this plant.Good for you for having the courage to call for closure! A traveler with future vision

Why don't they cover that stupid coal pile? And the transmission lines do not make up more than 20% of the land. Plenty of room for redevelopment and the transmission box. And the methane from SESD can be used for energy. This is just a matter of time.
