I agree with Mr. Must break 3am habit now!
When Lilly was much younger she would whine to be let out of her room (aka the laundry room) at the crack of dawn! I put an end to that by blacking out the window!

Luckily the only middle of the night waking that she has done was with an upset tummy...she had over ate a bone because we had another dog here. Both dogs had bones but they were afraid that the other would steal it (which they did...it was very funny!) so they tried to eat all of it at once. They were both up in the middle of the night whining.
They didn't do that to me again. YAY
