These owners clearly have not bothered to become the Alpha of their pack...the dogs have taken over!
I agree that you shouldn't accept another invite to their house unless they decide to take the dogs to a kennel. How rude of the host to allow his dogs to do that.
I'm glad my dog is much better behaved when we have guests over.

When the dog scratch down the back of my leg heals......I'll tell you how I really feel about three huge, wet dogs sharing my dinner!
If you must include your unruly, badly behaved dogs, please leave me off the list. Trust me, I will not be offended.

That's a pet peeve of mine; how hard is it to put your dog in a crate or in the bedroom if he can't be trusted to not create a mess? And a party?
Even people like me, who love dogs, don't want wet dogs running through a party, creating havoc. Nope.
If it's a calm, quiet dog, no problem. Someone needs to call the dog whisperer for these people!
