I'm at that part of life when the number of people I've lost begins to scare me. My biological family is almost gone. Old friends and lovers are steadily scarcer.

I treasure my recollections of them. I hope knowing me was somewhere near as valuable for them.

Hoping to not seem too glib I'm sure that what the two of you shared was worth the cost of the final loss. And can only hope that somehow there is someone like you to care when my final day arrives.
