As always, Laer, thanks for the link. These are stories that should be whirling rapidly around the internet, and not just sitting in backwaters. Every person who reads this should link, because this is a horrible war being waged against Western women.
I'd also be willing to bet (and I know that I'm going out on a limb here), that every one of your readers is either a woman, or the son of a woman. Some of them may even be parents or siblings or spouses of women. Readers, think about that next time you read a story about a culture that encourages the violent rape of the women in your lives.
This is not Islamic, it is cultural and you would know only if you would bother to have a look at their history. Too bad you are only concerned with defaming Islam. haha. What a waste of time for Islam cannot and will not be suppressed. It simply is God's will and mark His words that it shall not vanish.
Any culture with decent and moral religions leaders -- and a decent and moral religion -- would condemn these attrocities. Meysar, I've never felt more that the god of Islam is not the God of the Bible.
Again this is more a culture thing than anything religious.
What culture is Meysar talking about? Arabic? Persian? Indonesian? Philipino? African?
These honor killings are happening in all these countries. In the Muslim communities.
