There are other engines than the internal combustion piston engine, Laer. It is just that however you get around it, the problem of transfering mechanical energy to electricity, or heat into mechnical energy, has to obey the laws of Thermodynamics. Until human technology drastically increases via superconductors, better material science, and more advanced bio/chemistry derivatives, humans are stuck with the internal combustion engine and all its variations and modifications. Because in the end, you don't really get ahead in this universe if you shelve a hundred years of development in favor of a "new tech". That's just dumping all your research in your current project and starting something new. Sure, that something new might be fancy and smancy, but it still takes time. And in this universe of ours, who knows how much time we really have? Can we afford to be wasting it by listening to the Greenies? When the real Greenies come, Laer, will Global Warmies protect us from them with their environmental policemen?

These Greenies are Luddites, Laer. I hope I said that before, but if I haven't, I'll keep on saying it.
They are about as 'progressive' as the fracking Amish.
It is freakishly funny how these Green Boyos and Warming fans think of themselves as the scientific elite, believers in the Truth Above All, when in fact they are nothing more than religious fanatics and cultists.
They say religious fundamentalism (creationism) is destroying America, except it is they who are destroying America, for they have seen evil and it is themselves.

We can’t miss the opportunity to talk engines.
We think we know how to double today’s combustion engine efficiencies which comes with sharp reduction in their output pollution.
It’s all within relative simple technology. The problem, people are not easy to believe, most of us are used to think within the box rather than making minimum effort to become open minded. This statement includes most the professional industrial experts.
Since the subject involve huge economical efforts, without public involvement progress will take too much time.
