First of all, anyone who tries to draw parallels between a Hurricane and a fire is an idiot.
Yep!... With a hurricane you get several day notice that it's headed your way...

To be fair, the contamination of water trickling through any abandoned mine is not limited to the finished product the mine produced. Italy is still plagued by abandoned Roman mines and there may be older examples than that. The polution from mines is just one of the cost of getting the metal, etc. Shouldn't stop them from using the contaminated water to put out a fire. It's not like they're putting it in their mouths and spitting it on the fire.

Enviro Whacko's (aka democrats) burned the homes and property the same as lighting a match to each individual home. Deny, deny and deny, but facts are facts. If they (whoever the idiot in charge is) don't conduct controlled burns and clear fire lines more fires are in your future.

Nature doesn't really give a hoot how Green you are, Laer. You have a disadvantage compared to Greenies and the Left. You are not a parasite, and thus the fire will have to kill the host before it can kill the parasites (Leftist politicians and bureacrats)

I don't know if it's the silver that they were worried about, but potential mercury and arsenic residue.

Mercury or arsenic at the remote top of a mountain that would only reach us diluted by cat-and-dog volumes of rain.
