Has it never occured to you that countries like Iran and South Korea pursue weapons of mass destruction BECAUSE we will not engage in diplomacy? They are absolutely terrified of being bombed back to the stone age by the American empire, and so they act out of fear.
Oh, please. They have been pursuing these programs since Clinton was in office, if not longer. Besides, Korea is engaged in the six-party talks, and breeching every agreement it makes. And as you apparently missed while reading above, Iran has been talking to the Germany, France and England for years.
Why do you want to be an apologist for the ruthless? These countries pursue these weapons because they need to hold on to and expand their power. Because their regimes are so reprehensible, they need more than an army, and they're too economically ruined to have a meaningful air force or navy, so nukes are all they can turn to.
If NoKo and the Mullahs would dare to bring democracy to their lands, they wouldn't need nukes. But of course if they brought democracy, they would no longer have power. Why would anyone defend them?

The terrorist monkey can not be negotiated with. The only reason to maybe talk to Ahmadamadmonkey in say maybe Switzerland is to provoke him by debating his ideology and criticizing the hatred. Force him to say lots of stupid and insane things which would be widely publicized thus educating more people to his ideology's insanity. This, I am quite sure, Obama would never do.

So long as they are okay with getting nuked for trying to fight us, it's okay if they want to take Russia's place in another Cold War.
Btw, nobody in the US engages in diplomacy. What they engage in is narcissism when they want people's approval by talking with them.
