The OC // Andrew Landeryou's Blog of Freedom

Labor MPs are the biggest hypocrites. They send their kids to the best private schools.

A good example is John Cain Senior who was kicked out as Premier at the election held in I think 1955. He sent his son John, to become Premier about thirty years later, to upper class Scotch College, where he became a classmate of Jeff Kennett and failed ALP leader Jim Kennann.

And what about the Grammar girls of the present ALP, as Jeff Kennett called them? Thwaites and Brumby went to Melbourne Grammar.

If you went to Broadmeadows Tech you don't stand a chance of getting Labor preselection. If you went to Glenroy High you have a better chance. That's where Andrew Theophanous went to.

What about Carey? That's not a good school. Luckily not too many ALP souls went there. Its alumnus include Peter Costello and Stephen Mayne, the co-author along with Diane Anderson and Erik Locke of the Slanderyou dirt sheet that makes false untrue and defamatory allegations about my friend Andy Landy.

Gravatar Got bored photoshopping my head into brothels and strip clubs, Andy? Thought you'd try your hand at revealing bloody obvious facts about me instead? OMG JEREMY SEAR WENT TO MELBOURNE GRAMMAR AS TWO SECONDS' WORTH OF GOOGLING MAKES BLOODY OBVIOUS!

What an investigative genius you are.

Not so much a journalist, though. For example, when quoting the remarks on the end of my post, you've left out the preceding two sentences which qualify them:

"The sad thing is, though, that there are parents who will take him [Paul Sheahan in his remarks in The Age] seriously. Who have the $15,320 to spend on PREP TUITION (think about what prep tuition entails for a moment) and who will hand it over to Melbourne Grammar on the basis that their little darlings exclusively deserve better..."

OH! It's about parents with so much disposable income and so little idea of how better to spend it that they'd squander $15k on prep education because Paul Sheahan tells them state schools are so bad their child's finger-painting skills WILL BE FOREVER IMPAIRED. (But still better than Andy's photoshopping abilities.)

I wonder why you left that out.

Nice try at turning the post into an attack on my folks, though. And I'm sure you're not really the spiteful gimp the attempt makes you appear.

Whatever you do, don't let the derisive mockery you hear ringing around your ears deter you. You keep up the good fight against casual lefty bloggers! You're like a hero!

Gravatar Poor lil Jeremy, so angry.

He fails to explain why he could write about Melbourne Grammar as if he had never attended it.

And about private schools as if he'd never been to one or had a parent who taught at one.

Or why he still refuses to report the so-called hacking of his blogs to the authorities...

He is just a lying liar who lies.

Gravatar This is news?
This blog is now just a hatefest.

Gravatar "He is just a lying liar who lies."

It really is lucky you're bankrupt, slanderyou.

Gravatar Gee. Once upon a time, this blog used to generate comments. Now it scarcely rates at all. I think Fat Andy's fifteen minutes of fame are just about up.

Gravatar Feel Jeremy's anger, he doesn't get to threaten lawsuits all the time in his effete passive-aggressive style.

The simple fact is that he has been caught out hacking his own blogs, denigrating his own upper class and his mama and he just don't like it.

So sad.

Gravatar Andrew,
Do you, like, have anything to do?
I mean, here you are, a guy in your late thirties, spending all day, everyday posting crap on the computer. It's a little bit sad, don't you think?

Gravatar Do we really expect anything more from a lefty? It's not as if we expect intellectual consistency, thoughtful rigour, and so on from leftists.

Leftists are the same morons who complain about global warming while flying in private jets. They complain about people contributing to our education system from private money, while being the beneficiary of it.

Gravatar So many "leftists" flying private jets. so many

Gravatar How cute.

Andrew got his buddy FF to come and help him.

Doesn't make you look any less ridiculous.

"Game on"?

You idiot. Grow up.

Gravatar This blog is going down the shitter. I guess after awhile even the most hate-filled get sick of reading the ramblings of a fat bankrupt.

Gravatar Yeah, why do we keep coming back?

Gravatar Oops, Andrew you've been caught with your pants around your ankles!

SHOCK HORROR! Seriously, what is the problem with someone criticising the school they were sent to? I am filled with hate for nearly everything that University High School represents, yet I went there for 3 years (I failed HSC though, so that makes it OK).

Still, in the absence of Andrew Bolt, it's good to see Landeryou still waving the flag for half-lies, mistruths and crucial omissions in his bizarre attempt to smear.

And Cait Catt, my Dad attended Northcote High School with John Cain Snr. Maybe he went to Scotch for a year or 2, but I would check my facts if I were you.

Gravatar Well Ford Prefect you were silly then wern't you now as one had the opportunity to attend Univeristy High School and failed to meet the challenge. It is the typical attitude you would expect from someone who is inner-urbane. Why blame the system when you failed?

Gravatar I attended Grammar and the Head of our PE Department allegadly used to wear no undies and her husband who taught at the boys school used to wear hers.

Gravatar Look at this link:

Gravatar anyone can FAKE one of those Skoolfrenz entries
in anybody else's name -
I did it
to somebody I hate
and it's a doozy.

maybe the alleged Sears entry is one of those?

Gravatar somebody very close to me was sledged at skoolfrenz like this:"Since leaving school I have accomplished things the average person could only dream about. As well as inventing Post-Its, I am very, very successful at everything I do.
And I'm rich.
I'm very rich, and stunning.
You won’t find me on any extreme make over TV show!
I'm currently working for NASA as the integral team leader in the logistics and inventory department for the moon mission.
I'm a bit tipsy writing this as we are celebrating our achievements with Champagne (they couldn’t have done it without me of course!).
All the people I work with worship me and name all their children after me.
Look out for my 2005 calendar in which I will be modelling my own lingerie designs.
You can hang it up in your miserable office cubicle and tell all your work mates that you used to go to school with me.

Gravatar Well my dad was kicked out of Brighton Grammar for being too cheaky to the teachers.

Gravatar Yeah, why do we keep coming back?
Mr Lefty | Homepage | 01.08.07 - 3:32 pm | #

And why can't you pick a pseudonym of your own?

Gravatar Likewise.

Gravatar Ford Prefect tells me to check my facts. My facts are spot on, only I didn't tell all. Ford Prefect says

And Cait Catt, my Dad attended Northcote High School with John Cain Snr. Maybe he went to Scotch for a year or 2, but I would check my facts if I were you.
Ford Prefect | 01.08.07

The facts are these

John Cain the first did not go to Northcote High, which can be confirmed by looking at the biography written about him by I think a woman named Cait (no relation). I suspect Northcote High wasn't there then.

John Cain the second went to Northcote High in Forms 1 and 2 in the 1940s. I think it was about 1946 he was in Form 2 and daddy was Premier. John Cain the second left to go to Geelong Grammar but he didn't like boarding (and I don't blame him)and he then enrolled in Scotch College. Lawrence Money is the source of the information about Geelong Grammar but in view of his reputation I didn't mention the source.

John Cain the third, who is a high profile lawyer and rarely for a lawyer he's actually decent, went to Scotch College.

Northcote High was never a good school as evidenced by the dickheads who went there. These include Don Chipp, Jim Cairns, Brad Cooper and the real Delia Delegate who consistently denies that he is Delia but you can't fool Cait.

Gravatar I love it when other MrLefty's assist my MrLefty irritation efforts. Keep up the good work guys!

With his article, Jeremy once again demonstrates why the Greens are a bunch of wackos unworthy of a single vote.

If the Government cuts off all public funding for private schools, as the loser Jeremy suggests, fees will go through the roof, driving hundreds of thousands of children back into the public system where they will require more public funding than saved by the original cuts. Many private schools will shut exacerbating the problem.

Disaster Greens style.

His political party of choice suits him. Neither of them bother to think of the effect on 'stakeholders' when formulating their dumb policies.

Gravatar PENIS MIGHTIER THAN THE SWORD

Gravatar Jeremy,

Three points.

1. For those of us who care about these things, $15,000 a year is not an outrageous sum to spend on prep-level education. The Victorian government spends about $8,500 per student per year at that level, and there are plenty of people, myself included, who would like to see that increased.

2. You say in your post "think about what prep tuition entails for a moment". You then go on to make comments about finger-painting. The Victorian Essential Learning Standards are online here:

http://vels.vcaa.vic.edu.au/ esse...stdbylevel.html.

Prep does not involve teaching children to finger paint. It involves teaching them to read. It involves teaching them to count. These are not trivial exercises, particularly if the children have learning difficulties or come from non-English speaking backgrounds.

3. If you concern is with equity outcomes, as opposed to educational outcomes (which I think it is), you would be better off lobbying for a more progressive taxation system. History has shown that it's pretty hard to stop wealthy parents giving their children an unfair advantage. Either you take their children off them at birth, which is not very humane, or you stop them becoming wealthy in the first place by taxing them more heavily. As you would know, Melbourne Grammar existed for 120 years without government funding. If you withdrew its funding tomorrow, it would continue to exist as an elite institution with barely a break in its stride.

Gravatar Is a half-lie worse than one of Fords complete lies?

Gravatar I wonder what MrLefty (01.08.07-8:25) and his little mate Ken Capar (01.08.07-10:42) spend there time playing with?

Gravatar I agree with the sentiments from a previous poster that private schools will thrive regardless of whether the government is funding them.

In relation to prep fees of $15,000 if some parents pay up to $8,000 per annum for their pre-school aged children to attend childcare it seems like a real bargain.

There are several factors which drive the trend away from the public system. One of these is that private schools are seen as providing pastoral care which is not provided in the public system in most cases. The other factor is that parents think they have more control over the outcomes for their children in private schools.

Gravatar The best thing anyone could do for the Australian education system is introduce a nationwide sylabis with public examinations. None of this 100% continual assessment with the occassional classroom testing. A combination of examination i.e a 60% exam component and a 40% class participation component.

Gravatar Bloody hell- I hate it when you have to scroll back and remind people what they said! I never did other people's homework at school; why am I doing it now!?

Initially, Cait Catt said: "A good example is John Cain Senior who was kicked out as Premier at the election held in I think 1955. He sent his son John, to become Premier about thirty years later, to upper class Scotch College, where he became a classmate of Jeff Kennett and failed ALP leader Jim Kennann...blah, blah, blah"

I requested she check her facts ("...my Dad attended Northcote High School with John Cain Snr. Maybe he went to Scotch for a year or 2, but I would check my facts if I were you...").

Cait Catt then went into an irrelevant educational history of the Cain dynasty, and quietly slipped in the detail that actually proved I was right ("... John Cain the second went to Northcote High in Forms 1 and 2 in the 1940s. I think it was about 1946 he was in Form 2 and daddy was Premier. John Cain the second left to go to Geelong Grammar but he didn't like boarding (and I don't blame him) and he then enrolled in Scotch College...") Then she continues the irrelevance by including some bizzarre remark about Northcote High never being a good school. WHO CARES? (BTW, what was that comment on Anonymous Lefty about building straw men?)

So - is an omission by generalisation grounds for asking someone to check their facts? Damn those facts, they always get in the way of a good smearing don't they.

Gravatar Oi Ford mate, wouldn't John Cain Snr mean John Cain the first, and therefore you just proved yourself completely wrong? You never said John Cain Jnr went to school with your dad. Northcote High wasn't in existence when John Cain Snr was the right age to go to high school.

Gravatar I am so glad my kids go to public schools - at least I know they wont end up being like the above writers! You guys are unbelieveable.

Gravatar Anon, do you mean me? My comment was the 01.09.07 - 3:21 pm one, and if you like I could direct you to my blog.

Gravatar Anon (Koorie chick), are you assuming Uni High is a private school? Because it isn't, so if you're including me in your 'unbelievable' comment above, I went to public schools.

Gravatar I only just realised that Landeryou can easily be accused of hypocrisy in growing up in a Labor household, and now flirting with hard-right fruitcakes like A. Bolt, T. Blair and many others.

Gravatar hey, leave wally sear alone. dont you know he's a barista?

Gravatar In Sydney, the question doesn't arise. if you have any class at all, you send your children to private schools. The State system is crap, because the teachers fill the heads of the children with left-wing rubbish and the curricula are full of politically correct nonsense. No matter how much money you put into state schols they will thus still be rubbish. it has been clearly demosnstred in poor countries that money has no relationship to results if students are taught with some rigour the basic skills of reading, writing and arithmetic.

Gravatar All schools should be privatised. Why do Governments waste money on bricks and mortar and employing a lot of layabouts. If they are so keen on paying for our education, they should pay each for each child's education by giving a voucher to the parents. The parents could use the voucher at any school they liked, and pay top-up fees if they want their children to go to Ascham or Cranbrook.

Gravatar privatised schools?
I've worked in the private sector all my life toryhere.
private companies exist for one purpose.
to make profit.

it is not, as some free market proponents claim, by offering the best possible service at the cheapest possible price in order to out compete your competitors.

instead it is by offering the worst possible service at the most expensive price the market will bear.

I do not want my kids educated in a system that operates on these principles

We are investing in the future. Our children should be educated with no expense spared

I do agree with you about the vouchers though

Gravatar We are investing in the future. Our children should be educated with no expense spared...

Obviously you have rug monkeys, you rent-seeking sponge; why the fuck should I subsidise your inability to keep your chromosomes to yourself?

I must admit I was almost as daffy as Wally when I was released from the clutches of a Grammar School, and it took me another 15 years to achieve some semblance of reason; I think it may be a longer haul for Searsy. What a twerp.

(Whats the betting he hated school because he was regularly beaten? He seems the type who would attract such attention, and whats more probably deserve it).
