Clearly father Landeryou being sacked by John Cain etched an enduring and inexhaustable lust for revenge on the younger Landeryou.
Did the loss of Ministerial salary mean that you were pulled out of ballet school? Was your stellar career as the dancing prima donna from Sunbury cruelly denied by the evil John Cain?
We all know it's your blog and you can cry if you want to, but many remember John Cain fondly for making Labor electable again in Victoria after decades of Tory domination.

Yes John Cain Junior will go down as leading an inept and perhaps corrupt bunch, but your dear Dad and his Brother-in-law were the leaders of the pack.

As much as I can't stand Cain, he's right about the current crop of self serving bottom feeders who would have troubling spelling ethics, let alone identifying what it means

I remember visiting Melbourne during the Cain years, on business. Renting a car at Tullamarine and driving out to see a client. Turning the radio on to an AM station, and hearing an ad that went something like, 'are you bankrupt, have no credit record, but have a great business idea? You could be eligible for a Victorian government start up loan!' Just sheer head shaking insanity, courtesy of Cain, Kirner and Co. That story, retold subsequently, prompted much mirth at dinner parties. Of course, I lived in NSW.
For Victorians who had to pay for Cain's stupidity and incompetence, the joke wasn't quite so funny.

Andrew IU disagree strongly with your assessemt f John Cain's leadership. Problems with teh State Bank were due to State Bank management and not the Cain Government. John Cain in my asessment was and is a very honest politician. I think teh main preoblem with teh ALP back in the early 1990's was the decision by Joan Kirner to introduce poweer machines and Gambling in Victoria. Jeff Kennett took teh ball handed to him by spot-eyed Joan and ran with it breaking all kinds of re4cords of moral corruption. John Cain was verty much opposed to the Grand Prix and teh unfetted increase of gambelling. Victoria was not as financially bankrupt as the propogandaists sell us. Just ask your Old man and I am sure he will fill you in on who was who in the zoo.
