As anyone familiar with the questionable dealings to have emerged from a right-wing Geelong region Labor MP’s office in relation to the Geelong HomeTown development and who watched Four Corners three weeks ago knows the only difference between the Brian Burke/Smiths Beach scandal and the Geelong debacle is the presence of an INDEPENDENT crime commission complete with phone taps. Hardly a public official in sleepy hollow would have emerged unscathed if Bracks had the same commitment to probity, governance and ethics as his QLD and WA counterparts. If the full story of what occurred in Geelong was made public, the grubby right and others involved in this unholy alliance would have been run out of town long ago. Well done to Royce Millar and others from certain local media outlets for highlighting this for the benefit of the unblinkered minority. It's time you stopped pushing a tired line and questioned the behaviour of your own comrades.
