Andrew - there are many supposed groups like this around milking money out of state government grant projects. Their entire purpose is to employ socialists and do nothing for the ordinary person. You should look into how the VLGA gets its money out of the state government, I bet its largely ministries controlled by socialist left Ministers.

How can the VLGA justify spending ratepayers money on going to East Timor to see a Presidential Election? How can moderate Council's justify giving money to these lefty losers?
If Dean Sherriff is leading the charge to get out the VLGA then good on him. It's great to see Labor Unity people standing up to be counted.
It would have to be Cr Dean Sherriff, he's the only Labor Unity one left at Banyule. With Cr Dale Peters leaving the ALP and Craig Langdon MP undermining everyone in his own faction, it's no wonder LU have gone from 5/7 in 2000 down to 1/7 in 2007.
Hopefully the VLGA issue can be a rallying point for moderates up there in the Banyule badlands.
