My latest timetable shows the GTM Express has been withdrawn from the State Capital. It is returning to its normal scenic run between Camperdown and Lake Purrumbeet.

All I can say is that the GTM Express is 'a long time coming'. I'm responsible for seeing the trains run on time. The present MBF service (Mighty Baillieu Flyer) runs like clockwork with lots of contented travellers. Those waiting for the GTM keep on looking at their watches and muttering. They're very unhappy campers, but there's only a couple of them!
The Lib Transport Section is pleased that the GTM Express has retired to Camperdown leaving the whole rail system to the Mighty Baillieu Flyer. Maybe we can all get back to work now rebuilding for the future (and rooting out the deep cover rats).

Terry Muddler's hasn't been glimpsed since this disaster began weeks ago. He should have provided resounding support for Ted but didn't. Maybe he's just waiting in the wings. Or, more likely, he is a sensible, strong supporter of Ted who is hoping this whole horrible episode with blow over soon.
Sorry, Foresight, Muddler is one of the rats. He's unelectable of course, but hope springs eternal in the human heart.

Choo Choo: A small window of opportunity existed when this began for a seamless and orderly leadership changeover (if anyone seriously contemplated one). That opportunity has passed.
A putsch now or soon would expose the core of deep disunity that has been demonstrated over the last ten days. I doubt Muddler, or any other hopeful, would have the numbers or stomach for leadership on those terms.
It would just be more of the same, with the new leader being stabbed in the back by the other side.
Time to put the GTM Express back in the toy cupboard perhaps?
