I hate the greens, but I have to defend them from the ALP attacks
Surely the aim of a political party is to seek the greatest amount of representation it can in parliament
Hence, they should go actively after the seat(s) which they have the most chance of winning.
Is the ALP really saying that the Greens should never run against the ALP, and Family First should never run against the Liberals?
Is the ALP saying they don’t believe there is room for the minor parties in Australian Democracy?
Is the ALP suggesting that an opposition should be allowed to run its own seats uncontested?
Does the ALP believe in democracy?

poor old Martin, ex union hack, a non event in his seat of Batan and now whinging because he has to devote himself to getting relelected and not take Batman for granted. The ALP whinging is getting shriller and shriller - of course the greens want to wins seats but the ALP seem to expect that their seats are not to be competed for, what a sorry bunch of sadsacks.

Coming from Albert Park, you probably dont know much about the Northern Suburbs but Martin F is not close to loosing his seats to the Greens or anyone else.
The Greens poll OK in the southeren end of the electorate, ie Westgarth, Fairfield and Alphington but that is about it.
If the ALP ever looses Batman they would have to pack in the game, as it is either the safest or in the top 5 safest Nationally for the ALP.
The ALP isnt whinging they are playing hard ball with the Greens, there is a big difference. The greens have been given an easy ride for a long time now but it is over and they are being treated just like any other party.
The Greens think they are pure and motivated by good deeds, when in fact it is the reverse, they are in a lot of ways worse then any other party as they are liars and deceivers to their party faityhfull.

of course Fergo is whinging, just like Tanner and all these ALP ex union hacks who believe it is their god given right to sit in safe seats - Greens have placed the blow torch on these time wasters.

The Greens and the Nationals stick together like bad shit and are about as useful as the Australian Republican Movement.

What kind of idiotic post is that? The Nationals and Greens love nothing more than getting stuck into each other.
At least the Nationals have performed well at recent state elections, are respected in the corporate world. And of course, we all know Peter Ryan would lead the Opposition in Victoria better than Baillieu.
