I wonder what Mr Kavanagh thinks about Doc Evatt's role in the United Nations and establishing Israel? or even better, what's his opinion on Harold Wilson (Kevin Rudd's boy scout role model)?
Doc Evatt did some good in the early days, such brilliance but by the 50s was a lunatic.
He nearly destroyed Labor.
1. Remember oppositions don't win elections, governments lose them (you'll have to confer with Bob Ellis on that one - I believe he's the expert in this area).
2. That's a bit like saying Winston Churchill was a great war leader, but then he was dumped 45' for Clement Attlee (He was the first Labour Prime Minister to serve a full Parliamentary term, the first to have a majority in Parliament, and was one of the longest-serving Labour Party leaders in British history).
