Having had a look at the Michael Davis 'piece', I find it amusing to see Les wearing a coat you wouldn't get a whole lot of change out of a grand for.
Battler indeed.
Better still is his past, teaching 'physical education'. Would never have guessed it.

The media, slow as they usually are, seem to be starting to understand the gravity of the situation. Democracy got dealt a hefty death blow in Kororoit last week. This wasn't 'robust politics' in a bye-election, it was dirty tricks on a grand scale.

ALP State Secretary Stephan Newnham will be the first sacrifice led off to the gallows after Kororoit-Gate. His was the hand that signed the papers over the deceptive leaflets that misled electors in Kororoit. Andrew can't be sacrificed for his authorship of the deceptive 'heroin shooting rooms' leaflet (never part of Les's platform) with the graphic syringes imagery, because he is already politically dead. Although of course, being bankrupt, one hopes he was not involved in any financial dealings associated with the production of the leaflet. The Premier's defence of the dirty tricks will return to haunt him. Now he's backpeddling like an Olympian! But as The Age pointed out today Newnham is 'a close confidant of Mr Brumby'. Could be very interesting it Kororoit-Gate hots up.

Twentytonneguts is grossly obese, has vile extreme views, has done nothing to help anyone or assist disadvantage - without lining his own pockets and demanding self promotion publicity.
His mates from his heartland give him a 20% rating - hardly a singing endorsement hey fatso!

How many 'youth workers' can afford to live Sir Les's, Lord like, luxurious lifestyle?
Wining and dining with the wealthy, living in an luxury obode, previously living in Brighton, donating $5k to the Western Bulldogs and boozing at every wine bar on the eastern side of the Yarra!
Try doing that on $36k per year??????

Les Twentyman is just another watanabe failed Political figure.
His false claims of being Slaked are just attention seeking and prove that he is not really open to the political reality of today where the media (Main Stream and blogosphere) all politicians are subject to review and conjecture.
His attacks on the OC is an attack on Free Speech. Whats next the Court Photographer, The Daily Journalist or the Green campaigner...
Les Twentyman showed his true colors when he teamed up with the likes of Phil Cleary (anther failed watanabe)
I last heard that Les thinks that the by-election should be rerun as he was not given a fair go.
Problem Les has is that people know him and his claim to be Australia's most lovable bloke is BS...
Andrew your expose on Les Twentyman and those behind the myth was a great community service. You focus attention and exposed the facts. Facts that Les Twentyman wants to hide from and tries to avoid.

if anything the statement put out by the organ Monkey Phil Cleary was false and misleading.
Les twentyman was never a real challenger. The Liberal party did better then Antony Green predicted and Les come third.
Lenses only chance was to do a Cleary and top the Liberals vote and hope that he picks hp the lions share. To win he needed 26% of the primary vote. Whilst the greens and some Liberals may support Les the fact remains that rational thinking people know that his policies would not assist those in need other then Les himself.
I agree Phil Creery was the tell tail sign. I am sure many in the know would have voted against Les just on the strength of Phil Cleary speaking out.
lets not forget it was Phil Cleary that scuttled the republic with his false facts about a Direct Elected Head of State.
