Andrew, can you please provide us with a full translation of the notes? From my minimal Turkish language knowledge, there really doesn't seem to be anything in the notes that is problematic. In fact, it looks like a standard sermon on the meaning of sacrifice in the month of Ramadan i.e. sacrificing food, drink and sexual intercourse during fasting times between sunrise and sunset.
If there are references to wars and martyrs, they appear to be historical references. This is backed up by the fact that the first major military confrontation fought by the Prophet Muhammad in fact occurred during the month of Ramadan.
If you have any concerns about all this, why not ring the Terrorism Hotline?
I'm not sure if you have come to terms with this, but not all imams are a bunch of jihadist nutcases, just as not all Israeli MK's are Jewish extremists who want to turn Israel into a theocracy.
