Former Senator Jacinta Collins should get the preselection as she only lost her seat on 2001? due to all the preferences going to Steve Fielding who only got about 50,000 primary votes. collins primary vote was over 200,000 but not quite a quota unfortunately for her. Fielding will be gone at the next election and so will Family Farce party.

Leigh John, like me, can't even win a Port Phillip Council seat with ALP backing so how would he go in the Senate? He tried out for St Kilda Ward about 6 years ago I think and he was active with other disrupting the commissioners council meeting at Port Phillip too. Despite this Des Clarke and Co not only ran the councils day to day operation but amalgamated Port Melbourne, South Melbourne St Kilda Councils plus a bit of Prahran (often forgotten in the debate)successfully too. The Gay Pride March (Leigh on committee) was great the first year (during Des Clarkes leadership period) but it is pretty ordinary now. But that is socialism period bland and boring. Kennett built citylink, Bolte bridge and Domain tunnels in 3 years while Tim Pallas's citylink off ramp in South Melbourne is going to take 18 months. It should be done in 3 months. More socialist logic !! Finally how many MacMansion on 1/4 acre blocks will be built at Williams Landing instead of 4/5 storey medium density accommodation. Madden will stuff this project too like the St Kilda triangle project. We want good MP's and Senators not lightweight party (ALP or Lib) hacks like Wayne Swan and Helen Kroger.
