You only had to watch Baillieu's body language and tone of voice on the 3AW interview to see he's shallow and can't think on his feet. Thin-sliced into a whimp in 3 seconds.

Well here I am in my spacious office in Canberra waiting to see the Federal budget. But I am really shitting myself. When Luke is fingered by the investigation and resigns from the Party will they then look at me? What am I going to say to PA next month when they see me for what I really am? Ronno I need your help! Call me you prick. I have been ringing you all day. And Helen remember all the times I helped you in your quest for the Presidency and your subsequent pre-selection as a Senator? Are you going to protect my reputation as a really really decent human being…And Scott. Scott you are simply a cunt. You would love to see me be the sacrificial lamb for all this shit wouldn’t you? And Peter remember I signed in blood that I would vote for you in the Parliamentary Party when you challenged Howard. C’mon give me some help you bastards before I have a nervous breakdown….

Walter Plinge: having heard Ted at State Council when he was President (mid 1990's) he ofter adlibbed and injected humour into procedings. I think his media interviews as leader were a bit woody at first but I think he is firing on 12 cylinders now.

Adrian Jackson,
Thanks for the Budget running commentary.
By the way, I work in the public service. Never worked for a pollie.
For an old timer, you set a shithouse example for young people to look up to in terms of governance.
You should be trying to help any staffers here ATTRACT minority voters, not LOSE ethnic minority votes.
But you're not really interested in helping out in that sense. Ohhhh, no! When it comes to your personal prejudice versus the good of the party, you're more than happy for the former to come forth, satisfying your little demonic urges.
You promote (anti-Jewish) division with your racist leaflets and rants.
What kind of example do you think you're setting for up & comers?
What kind of trend for those who in the future will need to be attractive to all within the community?
None, in fact.
Unless you're DELIBERATELY seeking to plant seeds of disunity in the general community.
And that of course will backfire on the party, and hence Lib success.
Not that you give a sh*t. Not when they are some evil Joooos to bash.
Catch the drift, gramps. None heed your ideas or would be interested in your hate-mongering.
And we're fast getting tired of your Quartermaster war stories and ancient 1920's experience in a political party.

Just been watching the Howard government remnants on Lateline...What a herd of drongos -- Peter Dutton, Mal Turnbull, Brendan Nelson. Creeps Chris Pyne & Tiny Abbott were notable by their absence. Costello got a good go doing mime during the ABC news. But he needed Ted's trombone to really get things moving.

It's not fair to bring Susan Peacock into this when her Dad is a failed chairman who helped bugger the company he was supposed to be minding.

Dingo: I was talking about Ann. Is this Susan's dad or Ann's dad you are talking about? Susan is Ann's mum who was married 5 times. She did "Linda" electric blanket adds in the mid 1960's too. I remember seeing them.

We need to get this right. Or at least I do. I've got a Peacock family chart somewhere which might place the players correctly. I wish none of them harm, but Andrew is a different story.

Oh that Adrian, always the wag of the family, & such a brilliant raconteur. Goes a bit quiet when reminded of the facts, but always bounces back with more tales of how prescient he was about political issues, & how marvellous his campaign skills were. It's a very great pity that none of the parties he has been in have recognised his genius.
