Robert Ray would at least take matters up on behalf of aggrieved consituents. Not some members of the Brumby government who are just not interested. I got the brush off from the electorate office and Ministerial Office of Gavan Jennings over an EPA infringement notice I received.
How does one get the media interested in the EPA Stasi?
It is possible for anyone to make a complaint and the EPA sends out an infringement notice. The normal legal principles do not apply. You need to sign a stat dec and explain why you didn't do what you are alleged to do, and then the EPS say they can still take you to court. You have to explain your innocence.
It is better to call their bluff and go to court. If enough people did this the Brumby government might be more accountable.
If enough people are aggrieved the matter might cause the Brumby government to lose office if it doesn't listen to people.
Why is the media disinterested in this? Are too many reporters looking for jobs in Brumby's media unit?
