Kathy Jackson's outburst today was digusting.
Someone SHOULD remind the traitorous dog about the alternative.

I'd like to comment about this after so much silence, but I don't understand what this post is about.
I can talk about transport in Victoria but not much else.

I resent being called a traitorous dog. I haven't said a single word about the brouhaha involving leader Ted and I don't intend to. Some people call me a nong and a loser. I wish I knew what they were talking about.

Brain Boyed is a ledgend written on the wall of Trades Halls toilets. He is as corrupt as they come. Up there with John Halfpenny and the Other BWU thugs.. Him and the Police Union thugs think they are above the law.
May the State Government do him in once and for all.
Boyed is also connected to that other disgraced ALP henchman/bagman John Howie and John Thwaites Toy boy Malanie Eagle. All three have milked teh Labour Government and public for all it was worth. Including free ski holidays.

its easy for union leaders with "ethics"- turncoats that piss in their own tents, then have tea and scones with the opposition,to shout about the govt.breaking the codes, the ALP should reflect upon their own standards by letting these cowards/rats in the conference.

The fact that the resolutions calling on the government to change its position were passed unanimously yesterday should give people pause for thought.
The penalty provisions in industrial legislation that the Vic Govt is using (and used against the nurses too)carry very severe sanctions (up to $8,000 per offence, where every action by a union member on any day can constitute a seperate offence!)
In these circumstance's I'm not surprised that ALL the affiliated unions - left and right - are disturbed.
The health unions deal with thousands of employers nationally. Only one has used the penalty provisions of workchoices against them. Guess which employer? - the Victorian government.
The people who use terms like "rats" to describe unionists fighting for their members clearly have never been within spitting distance of a union and are probably scabs.
Are they delegates to the conference by the way? Remember the relevant resolutions yesterday were passed UNANIMOUSLY. Either they are sad little people who didn't have the courage to vote against the resolutions (let alone speak) or they weren't even delegates.
And if you weren't a delegate? Listen children, if you're not even part of the 400 odd delegates (some more odd than others) that make up the conference, remembering that half the delegates have to be roped in to going, you really do need to think about your relevance in the party.
I note that the "traiterous dog" comment was posted at around 8pm on a Saturday night. Listen boyo (or girlo) you really need to get out more you sad twit. You're never going to find a girlfriend at this rate.

Actually looking again at the posts, it's clear that anon 8.03 pm was at the conference.
Oh please tell me you where a delegate anon. I just love the image of you skulking in the gloom, scared of saying what you think because you are ssssssooooo scared of Kathy Jackson but wetting your pants to get home to post on Andrew's site. Oh you're so brave. Then a cup ovaline and off to bed. Maybe you were up early and made the second anon post at 7.50 - wow you were on a roll!
No, no wait better still - you weren't even a delegate! OMG! You were one of those strange people who hang around basking in the reflected glory of people who actually do things (like the admirable Mrs J).
Take heart. Maybe one day you will grow a spine and do something too. Till then, you have my pity.
As ever, in solidarity

been a union member all my life, still,am, infact i remember a time when unions were once relavant before the advent of career politicians who believed the union and the party are there to cushion their transition to a safe seat.Yes i was at the conference and can see how the machinations of unions/factions/numbers all work and how at last we have a govt that doesnt kowtow to every whim of the patriot union leaders. Many workers i know have been set back by their union , and many unions havent really progressed with the times to address the real issues in the workplace,by and large the big guns/threats ie strikes dont always work to solve ongoing industrial issues like they used to.The idea of collective power versus the govt is oldschool blf stuff thats why the wheels are falling off the union movement at a fast pace.Like an old bomb chuffing along to keep up with a workforce/workplace that has evolved many people are doubting the real need to belong to some unions >One example a union rep came to our employment and sat in the tea room eating doughnuts and reading the employment circulars. Our union fees at work.

the people that need to grow spines are the people threatening to shut down the health system switch off treatment for our MOST vulnerable of this state , how courageous!!! how dare you tell me to grow a spine, i know what the duty of care means , its enshrined in the medical charter, withdrawing ones labour to cause a devastating outcome to the ill and infirm is callous and against the tenets of a duty any goverment which has a duty has to protect its most vulnerable. That duty supercedes any notion that the state should be held to ransom, thats called thuggery , you may call it unionism, and having a spine , in my books its union thuggery , and as the previous person wrote is the reason unions have lost their relevance, its extrinsic in the shrinking numbers in unions and intrinsic in the bravado the union leaders have when they come to the table on the one hand threatening to shut down the health system and then expecting the govt to deal with them.Nobody should deal with thugs.

well said, dont care what faction, who they represent at the end of the day , tachers , nurses, labourers, all want a better wage deal, unions are their to bargain for the collective in a constructive manner, not hold the state and its services to ransom, and i am not a scab /or liberal, a union member and not a vote at conference.

this is what i love about this party, people call each other spineless ...then they write in soladarity you can nearly choke on the irony there..it appears all alp/union hacks have no spine replaced by whats called "agendas" and these "agendas" replace ideas as the basis on which "dog" will get the spoils , hence a conference is held.Such a pleasant way to spend your weekend.

You gutless tossers like anon who heap scorn on Kathy Jackson for doing what a union should do (hold governments accountable) deserve whatever bastardry your employer's can dream up for you. For those of you who don't believe unions have a place in the Labor party, read the history books rather than your stick magazines and you'll get the picture. For those of you who are born to rulers, then I don't care what you think. But keep hanging it on Kathy Jackson, patriot and all round nice person, and I'll hunt you down.
